Our holidays (Part II)

After a couple of days in the Dordogne we continued on to the South-West coast of France (Acquitainbe) where we rented this holiday villa for a week. Lovely, quiet place, close to the sea (no beach pictures... forgot our cameras!).

We went to the beach, walked, biked, visited small villages, nothing spectacular, but relaxing & fun!

Senna thought that she was back home in Brazil, she right away found her spot again, close to the swimming pool!

Can you imagine how surprised we were when we saw these creatures all of a sudden, close to the golfcourse?

Apparently there was a circus in town and the animals needed something to nibble!!

Our holidays (Part I)

Our first stop was the gorgeous hotel Chateau Les Merles.

A castle almost completely renovated and decorated with lots of black & white and some dots of colour (you could see that here).

They have their own vineyard & a big garden where they grow the majority of the vegetables they use in their kitchen (they have a bistrot as well as a restaurant).

While we were there, we also visited Bergerac, a lovely small town, little shops, small restaurants and nice old houses.

And of course there was Cyrano (de Bergerac)

Life's good in the south

Holidays are still not over...

School holidays started already on June 18... & we're still celebrating the summer holidays.. looks like it's never going to end! Apart from some days, we've had a lovely summer so far. Hopefully the last weeks will be sunny too. I just haven't made up my mind yet as to where I will spend these last weeks relaxing.
